What is Brain-Based Chiropractic Care //
Brain-Based Chiropractic is a different approach to chiropractic care. We address pain, dysfunction, injury healing and injury prevention in the neuromusculoskeletal (NMS) system. That means we address how your nerves, muscles, and skeleton work together and communicate.
The key in brain-based chiropractic is how they work together. Your brain and body are connected and send signals back and forth constantly. This is the only reason your body works at all. Sometimes the key to treating pain or injuries in the body is to look to the brain. That's what we do.
As with any system, looking at the parts individually does not allow you to see the whole picture. We look at the whole picture. We assess how your body is functioning: how well you can move, your muscle tone, pain, posture, strength and more. Then we use brain-based exercises to evaluate the communication between your body and brain. We look for any weaknesses or breakdowns in that communication.
Once we figure out which components of your neuromusculoskeletal system are causing the pain or dysfunction you feel in your body, we create a care plan that makes you feel better and helps your body work better to prevent future pain and injuries.

If you don't like the idea of having your neck cracked, you are not alone. Most people who are scared to try chiropractic are scared of what we call "manual adjusting", the treatment you normally think of when you think of chiropractors.
We don't do that.
Our office specializes in low-force adjusting styles that are gentle, safe, and effective. They are very adaptable to the age, comfort, and condition of each and every patient.
If you are nervous about chiropractors or had a bad experience previously, low-force adjusting may be exactly what you've been looking for.
Comprehensive Brain-Based Treatment Plans
There's a lot more that can contribute to pain and dysfunction than meets the eye.
There are 3 main components to each treatment plan: passive, active, and lifestyle. Passive includes therapies like the chiropractic adjustment, massage, and muscle stim. This creates an immediate physical response that primes your body to make long-term positive changes. Active care includes brain-based therapeutic exercise. These exercises are designed to challenge your brain-body connection and strengthen it. The passive care helps you feel better, the active care makes sure you stay that way.
The last component is lifestyle upgrades. Many times, the day-to-day choices we make affect our health in ways we don't realize. Our goal is to help you uncover how to make empowering choices that help you reach your health goals instead of hindering it.
We look at the whole you. There are 3 main components that are necessary to live an optimally healthy life: physical, mental, and social. We discuss way to improve these areas so you can get the best results possible from our care.
We want to make sure you get the best treatment and results under our care, which is why addressing all 3 components is so important.
One on One Quality Care
In our office, providing quality care is our top priority. You won't be rushed in, rushed out, told to do therapies without knowing why, or seen at the same time as someone else. Our office visits are much longer than a typical chiropractic office. While some offices will have you in and out in just a few minutes, we feel in most cases, this doesn't do justice to your health goals.
You will be listened to. You will be cared for. We will discuss how you are progressing, and adapt your care plan as needed. We will help you go through your brain-body exercises to make sure that when you are doing them at home you are getting the greatest benefit.
